How it works
Erin and the team were nothing but phenomenal to work with. They designed my partners engagement rings as well as both of our wedding bands. The process was seamless, fun and so supportive. Erin talked us through all our ideas and options and created the most incredible pieces we will cherish forever.

Do I need an appointment to start a custom design?
Yes. Our studio is appointment-only, giving us time to understand your ideas and guide you through the possibilities without feeling rushed. We offer private appointments in Surry Hills and virtual consultations for clients further afield.
How long does it take to create a Union Studios piece?
Most made-to-order and custom pieces take around 5–6 weeks once the design and details are confirmed. More involved designs may take longer. We’ll give you a considered timeframe before production begins.
Can you help if I need my piece by a particular date?
Please let us know your date as early as possible. We can sometimes arrange an expedited production timeline, subject to the design and workshop availability. If time is especially tight, we can also explore ready-to-wear pieces.
Can I view pieces before ordering?
Yes. We keep a considered selection of designs, samples and stones in the studio to help you understand scale, shape and finish. As many pieces are made to order, not every design or stone will be available to view at all times.
How far ahead should we order our wedding bands?
We recommend allowing at least 8–10 weeks before your wedding. This gives us space for production and any sizing or finishing adjustments without leaving things to the last moment.
Which precious metals do you use?
We work with solid gold and platinum, primarily 18ct yellow, white and rose gold and platinum. We also offer 9ct and 14ct gold for suitable designs. We don’t use plated metals or diamond simulants in our fine jewellery.
What is the difference between 9ct, 14ct and 18ct gold?
The numbers describe the proportion of pure gold in the alloy: 9ct is 37.5%, 14ct is 58.5% and 18ct is 75%. Each has its own colour, feel and practical considerations. We’ll recommend a suitable alloy based on the design, how you intend to wear it and your preferences.
How can I find my ring size?
The most reliable way is to have your finger measured professionally. You’re welcome to visit us by appointment, or ask a local jeweller to measure you if you’re interstate or overseas. Our size guide is a useful reference, but home measurements can be less precise.
Can every ring be resized?
No. Full eternity bands, certain complex settings and some alternative constructions may not be suitable for resizing. We’ll explain those limitations before you order and discuss alternatives if needed.
